The Four Corners Blessing

THE BOUNDARIES OF YOUR PROPERTY OR HOME

The Home owner cannot take the place of a priest exactly, but we are often the ones who cleanse our own homes out of a necessity to do it
immediately now, rather than later. However, rather than these prayers we would do the others I recommend and at times simply recite a basic command again with:

”In the name of Jesus and by his precious blood, I command all evil and unclean spirits to leave this place and
our property and never return”
saying it three times, sprinkling holy water, each time it is said.

THE ‘FOUR CORNERS’ BLESSING

(ask the priest, to do this blessing rather than the blessing he might bring)

A St. Benedict medal is buried on each of the four corners of the property, (optionally adding 4 more at halfway between each corner).
So this will involve at least eight medals if the property is expansive.  At each burial point for the medal, bless the property with the sign of

the cross and then bury the medal an inch or two in the ground sufficient that it will remain there undisturbed.
Then the owners of the home should recite at each burial point:

O God, omnipotent and never-ending, who in every place subject to Thee, pervades all and works all Thy Will, comply with our
entreaty that Thou be the protector of this dwelling, and that here no antagonism of evil have power to resist Thee, but that,
by the co-operation and virtue of the Holy Spirit, with the intercessions of St. Benedict, Thy service may come first of all,
and holy freedom remain inviolate. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord…”

Recite the prayer one time in the center of the property:

Glorious Saint Benedict, sublime model of virtue, pure vessel of God’s grace! Behold me humbly kneeling at your feet.
I implore you in your loving kindness to pray for me before the throne of God. To you I have recourse in the dangers that daily
surround me. Shield me against my selfishness and my indifference to God and to my neighbor. Inspire me to imitate you in all things.
May your blessing be with me always, so that I may see and serve Christ in others and work for His kingdom.

Graciously obtain for me from God those favors and graces which I need so much in the trials, miseries and afflictions of life.
Your heart was always full of love, compassion and mercy toward those who were afflicted or troubled in any way. You never
dismissed without consolation and assistance anyone who had recourse to you. I therefore invoke your powerful intercession,
confident in the hope that you will hear my prayers and obtain for me the special grace and favor I earnestly implore to help deliver
us from all evil manifestations and cast them away in Jesus name. Help me, great Saint Benedict, to live and die as a faithful child of God,
to run in the sweetness of His loving will, and to attain the eternal happiness of heaven. Amen.”

In a sealed container, you can bury with the medal with a small bag of blessed salt, and a blessed crucifix. I used baby food jars with the lid sealed,
when we moved into our home seven years ago.
